The mandatory materials for this week need to be watched, listened to and read in preparation for the seminar.
Read about two design process models from the Delft Design Guide – known by most students as the IDE Bible (treat it accordingly). We assume you have bought this book for Design Project 1, we suggest reading these two pages (and optionally the spread before and after it) to get an idea of the formalisation of design from the IDE TU Delft perspective.
Nick and Christian from Google Design discuss potential trajectories for the messy futures of emerging technologies and argue for design being appropriately and systematically messy in response. Please watch the video from the first marker to the second for this week. In this part you will see some ideas about the roles of models and abstractions and get an idea of their possible uses.

We are linking to the German version, because this is the original language Dieter Rams used. Feel free to switch it to the EU version if it is hard to read.
